I learned about this app from listening to a podcast (shocker), The Pitch. As soon as I heard about it, I knew it was something I should download. 1 Second Everyday allows you to string together very short, daily videos to create a montage of your life.
I’m not a great family historian. I usually get through holidays and important events completely forgetting to take a single photo or video. My kids and husband are usually annoyed with me. I suppose they could take on the task themselves, but that’s a subject for a different blog post.
This app makes it pretty simple and straightforward to create a fun video journal and it even sends reminders for dummies like me. I wish I had had this when my kids were tiny. It would be a joy to see their growth over a time in this format.
The only drawback is that the app cost $4.99 for a one time download. I usually don’t pay for apps, but to me it’s worth five bucks to have a platform for remembering to chronicle our lives a little more consistently. Have you tried this app, or do you use other photo journaling apps? Maybe social media fills this role for you. We’d love to hear about it!
