How to Get Your Partner On Board

For a more balanced relationship

This course takes less than one hour to complete and will open the door to a more receptive dialogue with your partner about an equal division of household labor.

Couple Enjoying While Household- Tend Task

Picture this…

It's a typical evening at home, but something's different. You speak up about your day, and there's your partner, really listening. They understand what you're saying, and you're making decisions together. The air is lighter, the burden shared, and you both move through your daily life with ease. You're laughing more, touching more, and when the lights go out, you're both there, truly together, in every sense of the word.

Hi there, I'm Felicia. I help couples to build mutually beneficial, balanced, joyful relationships.

The most common question I get is how do I get my partner on board to build a balanced, equitable relationship with me?

I often have people come to me, eager for this kind of change. They feel frustrated and overwhelmed by the emotional, mental, and physical load of caring for their household and their family. They know this dynamic is unsustainable, but they don't know how to change it. They're desperate for their partner to hear their frustration, see the impact of their work, and engage with them to do things differently.

I usually hear some variation on the following:

  • My partner would never agree to this

  • They don't think this is a problem

  • They already think they're doing enough

  • They think I'm being unreasonable

  • This is temporary because the kids are little

Well, I'm here from the future to tell you that this issue does not resolve itself.

An unbalanced relationship does NOT just get better without an intentional intervention...

And so, I created this course to help get you to the starting line, to give you the evidence-based tools you need to get clear on why change is important, to communicate that effectively to your partner, and to set you up to take action to make real, tangible change in your relationship.

"Great Communication Tools"

"I’ve struggled in many relationships with finding balance and feeling a sense of equality especially when it comes to household tasks. I’ve naturally fallen into the role because I like my house to be a certain way and become resentful toward my partner and found it hard to talk to him about my needs and get that support. This course helped me feel seen and understood and gave me great communication tools to be able to talk with my partner on common ground and find a better balance at home between us. It’s quick and easy to go through the lessons and I love the worksheets to put my thoughts on paper. Excited to start implementing Felicia’s techniques!"
